STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT 

As we have very limited time to process applications and to make decisions on the student travel grant awards, please read this email carefully and take the appropriate actions in time, and the application deadline is final with no extension at all. 

Eligibility of STG:

a) The applicant student must be a co-author of an accepted paper in IEEE GLOBECOM 2011. 
b) The applicant student must be full-time students registered toward a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering or related field in a college or university when submitting their applications, and must not receive funding for attending the conference from other sources.
c) During the expense reimbursement stage, the student must show the proof of having registered to attend the IEEE GLOBECOM 2011 conference.

b)  IEEE GLOBECOM 2011 features 20-25 student travel grant awards in the range of $500-1000. A student who is awarded a student travel grant must attend the conference in person. The student must register, attend, and present the paper (if the student is a co-author) at the conference.  Payment will only be made to the student as long as the award recipient submits the expense report (with receipts) within 45 days after the conference. More details will be provided to the students who are selected to receive the STG award.


How to apply

a)  The application should be submitted electronically via EDAS. After logging into EDAS, click the “Travel Grant” tab at your EDAS home page, and then select “Student Travel Grant for GLOBECOM 2011”. The application must include the following materials
b)  A reference letter from your advisor (your advisor can directly submit the reference letter on EDAS).
c)  Your up-to-date resume including your citizenship (required), and ethnicity and gender (optional, used to broaden the participation of under-represented students).
d)  A half-to-one page letter to state the purpose of attending the conference.
